Key Responsibilities:
Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Member - overseeing daily operations
HR, Health & Safety, DDSL compliance lead
Liaising with stakeholders, including Local Authorities, DfE and Ofsted
Managing audits, tenders, policy creation, curriculum development, and accreditation schemes
Advocating for alternative provisions (APs) to improve Local Authority understanding of student need and those marked as EOTAS for EHCP's

Achievements:
Successfully transitioned the centre into interim - gold standard of Alternative Provision for Dorset and then further to a fully accredited independent specialist school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted
Influenced AP reforms through engagement with Local Authorities
Strengthened school governance and policy framework through development of quality assurance frameworks - adapted with the SEND child in mind
Development of the centre from owner/solo worker to independent school working with 35 members of staff offering bespoke pastoral support and bespoke timetabling to meet need
Developed positive relations with all students
Implement full HR system to improve wellbeing and skills of staff
Recruitment lead
Development of all policies in accordance with AP and DfE
Developed and implement full Health & Safety Audit and action points in collaboration with Dorset Council H&S SLA
